With the show being co-hosted by Dick Clark and Ryan Seacrest live from Times Square, the 17-year-old "Misteltoe" sensation teased his millions of followers by tweeting prior to showtime, "I got a special performance coming tonight.

As for the surprise effort, Bieber ended up taking the stage alongside guitar legend Carlos Santana with Justin saying, "New York City! How you guys feelin' tonight? I'm so happy to be here to ring in the New Year with you guys! New York, with all that you've been through your spirit's never been broken. We all do the best we can each year. Running from our past to do better in the future."

Bieber and Santana then proceeded to treat the crowd lining the Big Apple streets to a rendition of the Beatles classic "Let It Be" - with the performance available for viewing in the player above!
